Ihsan Essaid | QXO
QXO, the new building products distribution company from trucking company XPO’s founder Brad Jacobs, hired Ihsan Essaid as its first chief financial officer. Essaid has more than three decades of experience in global investment banking and was most recently global head of M&A at Barclays. Other roles at Barclays include co-head of global M&A and co-head of Americas M&A. Essaid has advised on more than $50 billion of transactions across several sectors since joining Barclays in 2021. Earlier roles include managing director of media and telecom M&A with Credit Suisse and a partner with Perella Weinberg Partners.

Google Fiber, Alphabet's residential and business internet provider, appointed John Abbot as its first chief financial officer. Since January 2023, Abbot has been CFO of AI business Dataminr. He has previously held the top finance spot at Datto, Cumulus Media, Telx Holdings, and Insight Communications. Earlier he worked at Morgan Stanley in their media and telecom group and at Goldman Sachs in their global energy and power group.
Stacey Hafers | Chicory
Chicory, a contextual commerce advertising platform, named Stacey Hafers as its first finance chief. Hafers joins the company with over 25 years of experience working in ad technology and digital businesses. For more than five years she worked at TI Health, a data-driven marketing and predictive analytics company, where she was CFO ahead of its exit to Real Chemistry. Before that, Hafers was chief financial officer of Crisp Media, where she negotiated and oversaw all financial aspects of the sale to Quotient Technology. She previously held senior financial roles at Vibrant Media, Village Voice Media and Walker Digital.
Axel André | RGA
Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) hired Axel André as its new finance chief, effective August 5. André joins RGA from American Equity Investment Life Insurance Company, where he has been CFO since 2021. Before that, he was Jackson National Life Insurance's chief financial officer and spent seven years at American International Group, most recently as CFO for its individual retirement business. André succeeds Todd Larson, who will transition into the role of special advisor to the CEO until his retirement on December 31.

John Stelben, CFO of online private health insurance marketplace eHealth, is retiring and will leave the company at the end of August. John Dolan, eHealth's chief accounting officer will be appointed CFO and senior vice president on August 31. Dolan will also work as the company's principal financial and accounting officer. Stelben will be a retained advisor through the end of 2024 to help with the transition.
Susan Landi | Farmland Partners
Susan Landi was promoted to chief financial officer of Farmland Partners, a farmland real estate company. Landi has worked at the company for over four years as the vice president of finance. She has been an accounting and audit professional since 2002, working at Moss Adams and Hein & Associates before joining the company. Landi succeeds James Gilligan, who has stepped down as CFO by mutual agreement with the company and will remain an employee through June 30.
Don Cummings | Jackson Financial
Jackson Financial named Don Cummings as chief financial officer, effective June 3. Cummings has been the financial services provider's controller and chief accounting officer since joining at the end of 2020. Cummings previously spent 12 years working at AIG, most recently as interim CFO of Fortitude Reinsurance. He replaces Marcia Wadsten, who is retiring after more than 30 years at the company.
Ruben Baldew | Nomad Foods
Ruben Baldew will take over as chief financial officer of Nomad Foods, Europe's leading frozen food company, on June 17. Baldew joins the company from the bicycle company Accell Group, where he was CFO. While at Accell, he led multiple value-creation initiatives before the sale of the business. He previously spent over 15 years at Unilever in various finance roles. Baldew replaces Samy Zekhout, who is leaving the company. Zekhout will remain with the company until July 31 to assist with the transition.
